When it comes to material objects, the culture of imperfection signifies the supremacy and unique quality of the manmade compared with the perfect, automated creations of any machine.
A manmade object, even given all its possible limitations and imperfections, is almost always synonymous with originality and the luxury product of a longterm reputation.
Domenico Mori is a company steeped in history and tradition that has been handed down through the generations on a journey that began with a great love and passion for working terracotta and clay entirely by hand. The materiality of clay and its ability to take on an extraordinary array of unique colors and tones make it ideally suited to creating the sort of one-of-a-kind, personalized designs one normally only sees in high-end fashion boutiques. It is because of this tradition of craftsmanship that Domenico Mori flooring and wall décor can be found in some of the world’s most elegant homes.
The creative mind behind the company, Domenico Mori himself, is constantly seeking new shapes and unique materials. His company is also specialized in reclaiming antique materials and has a talent for raising craftsmanship to a true art form, one that looks to the future and is able to exalt even the boldest, most intriguing projects of interior design.
